Introduction

This is āyah 49 of Sūrat Saad (The Letter "Saad"), the 38th sūrah in the traditional order of revelation. It was revealed in the Meccan period and sits within Juzʾ 23. Meccan verses tend to address faith, the oneness of God, and the hereafter.

This introduction is a starting point — the community and Bilal will enrich it over time.

And verily, for those who have Taqwa is a good final return (49)'Adn Paradise, whose doors will be opened for them (50)Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks (51)And beside them will be Qasirat-at-Tarf, (and) of equal ages (52)This it is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning (53)(It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our provision which will never finish (54) The Final Return of the Blessed Allah tells us that His blessed, believing servants will have a good final return in the Hereafter, which means their ultimate destination.
