وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا نَصِيرٍۢ

And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth or in the heaven. And you have not other than Allah any protector or any helper.

Bio

Introduction

This is āyah 22 of Sūrat Al-Ankaboot (The Spider), the 85th sūrah in the traditional order of revelation. It was revealed in the Meccan period and sits within Juzʾ 20. Meccan verses tend to address faith, the oneness of God, and the hereafter.

You will not be disablers in earth or in heaven, and you have no friend or helper apart from God. You will not be disablers in earth or in heaven. On the contrary, everything turns around in His grasp, and He brings to pass for them the decrees of His predetermination-whether they deny or voice His tawḤīd, whether they turn toward Him or away from Him.

See they not how Allah originates the creation, then repeats it. Verily, that is easy for Allah (19)Say: "Travel in the land and see how He originated the creation, and then Allah will bring forth the creation of the Hereafter.
