Introduction

This is āyah 17 of Sūrat Ash-Shu'araa (The Poets), the 47th sūrah in the traditional order of revelation. It was revealed in the Meccan period and sits within Juzʾ 19. Meccan verses tend to address faith, the oneness of God, and the hereafter.

And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (saying): "Go to the people who are wrongdoers. (10)"The people of Fira'wn. Will they not have Taqwa? (11)He said: "My Lord!
